WEEKLY RECAP 6-27-2020 TO 7-12-2020

Hello everyone, we are back with some new content, news and a recap of everything we have been up to since the last update. We hope everyone enjoys this update.

There has been significant progress on CT: Lost World. We have a ton of assets and our pitch documentation is nearly complete. This may be one of our best attempts at creating a game, and we owe it to all the experience we have accumulated up until this point. The official website is live and you can get more information about the project there.

We have been improving animations and making sure each character stands out. Trask is a Jeht, a race from our first game, Demon’s Revenge. Her backstory will reflect on her experiences on Hasphal. Trask functions much like a saboteur and will employ traps in order to slow down her opponent.

The thing that makes her unique to the other party members is her ability to absorb the traits of things that she eats. Trask will take some form and abilities of the otherworldly creatures she consumes.

The Celestial Tear web comic is still being developed. We are moving one page at a time while considering different avenues of distribution. We may just end up going with the traditional web comic route, but we are experimenting with more creative ways to showcase this work to get it seen by more people.

CT: Demon’s Revenge/Infobook

Kai

We have looked over our original release of Demon’s Revenge and we aim to fix a bunch of issues. Most of them were technical, but others more so with the pacing and features. So there are a few new elements and characters (Like the one pictured above!) that you will experience in Demon’s Revenge: Zero.

The Union

We still continue to work on the Union as we transition it into a more compact experience. We want to eventually make it into a full action beat ’em up, but for now, we will work with what we have, as CT: Lost World has become the priority.

Streaming, Youtube and our Community Project

Lately, an image we posted on social media garnered some attention and we decided to open up a community project. We asked around on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram about what version of this project people would likely support/like to play. There was a lot of back and forth and most people just love the concept as is. So we will be opening up this project for anyone that wants to be involved and we will have news on that soon.

One way that we want to implement the community project idea is by having it be apart of our weekly pixel art poll that we do every Sunday on Patreon and stream every Friday on Twitch. We want to be able to offer people who want to participate in the project an opportunity to add a character in that game and be apart of the process.

Thanks for all your interest and support. We look forward to another solid recap of what we are working on over here at White Guardian Studios, where video games and comics collide!
